TERMS & CONDITIONS – Net Accountant
1. Services
Net Accountant provides professional bookkeeping services for small business owners.
Our services may include:

Recording income and expenses
-
Bank reconciliation
-
Preparation of financial summaries (Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet)

Monthly/Quarterly summaries
-
Year-end preparation
Unless agreed separately in writing, Net Accountant does not provide:

Tax advice
-
Financial planning
-
Audit or assurance services
-
Legal advice
2. Client Responsibilities
By engaging our services, you agree to:

Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date financial information
-
Submit all required records in a timely manner
-
Inform us of any changes to your business or financial position
Delays in providing information may impact reporting timelines. Net Accountant is not responsible for any delays or issues arising from late, incomplete, or inaccurate information.
3. HMRC & Compliance Responsibility
The client remains fully responsible for:

Submitting tax returns
-
Meeting HMRC deadlines
-
Paying all tax liabilities
Net Accountant is not responsible for any penalties, fines, or interest charges imposed by HMRC or any other authority.
4. Fees & Payment

Fees are charged monthly and collected via Direct Debit in advance
-
Payment is collected via Direct Debit (GoCardless)
-
Payment must be made in full before services are delivered
-
Missed, failed or late payments may result in suspension of services
-
Work may be withheld until outstanding balances are cleared
-
Fees are subject to periodic review, with reasonable notice provided
5. Communication
We provide support via:

Typical response times are within 24–48 hours (working days).
6. Confidentiality
All client information is treated as strictly confidential and will not be disclosed to any third party without consent, unless required by law.
7. Data Protection
Net Accountant complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). See our Privacy Policy.

Your data will be securely stored and used solely for the purpose of delivering our services

We retain financial records for up to 6 years in line with legal and regulatory requirements
8. Contract & Cancellation

Rolling monthly agreement
-
A minimum of 30 days’ written notice is required to cancel services

The final month of service will be billed in full
-
No refunds are provided for services already delivered
9. Termination
Net Accountant reserves the right to terminate services with 30 days’ notice, or immediately in cases of:

Non-payment
-
Abusive or inappropriate behaviour
-
Provision of false, misleading, or incomplete information
10. Limitation of Liability
Net Accountant will not be held liable for:

Losses resulting from incomplete or inaccurate information provided by the client

Financial losses arising from business decisions
-
Errors due to client-provided data
-
Indirect or consequential losses
-
Business decisions made based on financial reports or summaries
Our total liability, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the total fees paid by the client in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Force Majeure
Net Accountant shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such delay or failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, technical failures, or third-party service disruptions.
12. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
13. Anti-Money Laundering
We may request identification documents and are required to report suspicious activity in line with UK regulations.
14. Changes
We reserve the right to update these terms at any time.
